My Scraps and More CROP!!!!!

It's coming up this weekend!! The first crop at My Scraps and More is this weekend!!! Here are the details:
My Scraps & More is having a Grand Opening Sketch Crop! All of the challenges will be a sketch with a twist! There will also be games and chances to win some great prizes!! Our crop will start on May 20th but look for pre-crop challenges to start soon! You will have until May 25th to get all of your challenges completed and posted into the proper thread. This is going to be a ton of fun and really hope that you will join in!!

Scrappy Fun and a Few Challenges!!

This past Friday I had the rare chance to spend the WHOLE day KID FREE to scrap and chat with the talented Jillian Deiling Cassity ALL DAY!! Like from 9:30 am to 1 am!!! While I was there I actually got a layout done!! I know, I know!! ONE layout you say!! Yes, this is a huge accomplishment for me when I scrap somewhere else than my home. I always end up chatting the time away and never get anything done. The layout that I finished was for a sketch challenge at My Scraps and More!!

This is Natalie at her sewing class and her first sewing project!! It was a little notions bag!! She has so much fun learning how to sew from Ms. Darlina!! Here is another challenge at My Scraps!! A Quote Challenge!!

Summer days!!!

I was waiting on the perfect patterned papers for our summer pics from last year!! So when I saw the Pink Paislee Hometown Collection I was so excited!! To add to my excitement the new sketch over at Creative Scrappers and the quote challenge at My Scraps was the perfect combination for this LO!!! EEK!!

I just found that I won the sketch contest over at My Scraps and More!!! Speaking of My Scraps and More!! I just received my Bella Blvd order from them!! I'm in love with the products and the VERY fast service that I received from Tammi the owner!! I was VERY pleased and will be buying more products from them in the VERY near future. What a Surprise!!!

Surprised is what I was when one of my scrappy friend Kim over at My Scraps and More told me that I had won the March sketch challenge over at My Little Shoebox blog!!! I never win anything so when I did I was over the moon!! Here is the layout that I submitted to the challenge on facebook!!

The Big 5 and some Yummy Cake!!

I'm a little behind on getting Avery's birthday pictures scrapped but better late than never right!! Monday's challenge at My Scraps and More was to lift a fellow member's LO!! This week it is scrappin in Ak's lo!!To see it go to My Scraps and more Forum!! Here is my take on the layout!! Avery loved her birthday cake as you can see! LOL!! She requested "black" cake!!! Aka chocolate cake!! lol!! Well, "black" cake she got!! ;)

Just Being ME!

I usually HATE doing LO's about me!! It makes me feel so self centered while I'm creating the layout! lol! But, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make this layout!! There is a Design call over My Scraps and More and I decided to answer it with this layout. It had to me a design about yourself this is what I came up with. There is other guidelines that you can find over at My Scraps and More.

I also used this color scheme because over at The Paper Variety there is another challenge! You had to pull inspiration from this cute pic.

I was inspired by the colors!! Isn't that the cutest pic!!

Tiny Dancer...with LONG Legs!!

I finished another sketch challenge at My Scraps and More!! It was another Jana Eubank's sketch!! I love me some Jana sketches!! Here is the sketch and my take on the sketch!! If you want to play along with the challenge head on over to My Scraps and More forum!!

Buddies and Ballerinas!!

Natalie has so much fun when she is dancing with her buddies at ballet and jazz class!! Here she is with some of her friends at the OU Children's Hospital Grand Opening of the Atrium. Not only did they dance around for everybody they also gave out butterfly suckers,kites, and coloring books!! The girls were so excited to hand them out to all of the sick children and to the doctors. I used a Jana Eubank sketch that is being used for a challenge over My Scraps and More!! There is also another great challenge going on over there too!! Which I can't wait to get to scrap this weekend!!

Beautiful Butterflies!!

Natalie and seven of her ballet buddies were asked by her past ballet teacher Ms. Susan to dance at the Grand Opening of the new Atrium at the OU Children's Hospital!! We were so honored by the request and Natalie couldn't wait to dance for the children and the people celebrating the opening!! The girls were so beautiful and they were so excited to get their faces painted with a big butterfly!! It is defiantly an experience we will not forget!! Each Butterfly represent a different girl/ballerina!!

It feels good to be done!!

As I promised from yesterdays post I have the last three pics of the Mackenzie's baby album!! I used the Hello Luscious line from Basic Grey!! I loveuh this line!! It's so floral and girly!!! Perfect for Mackenzie pages!!

I am finished with Mackenzie's baby album!! I would have had pics for you of the last three layouts but its been soooo windy here that I can't take pics of my layouts unless I want to chase them down the street!! But... I do have some cards to share with you!! Yes, I said Cards!! The lovely Jennifer Tucker asked me to Guest Design some cards for the simply ArTistiC blog!! I had a blast creating these cards!!

I only have three more layouts to do and I will be finished with my cousin's baby album!!!! This album has moved along a lot faster than Isak's baby album!!! I have been under the weather today but I think I'm starting to feel better now! So, hopefully I will get some scrapping done tonight!! TIC TAC TOE!!!! I WIN!! Well....I Hope!! :)

Who doesn't like playing Tic Tac Toe!! Every time we go out to eat at a restaurant that gives the girls crayons we always have a tic tac toe tournament it seems! Well, over at The Paper Variety blog they are having a Tic Tac Toe Scrapbook challenge!! I decided to play along and it turned out to be a blast!! Here is my creation that I entered for my play in the game!! My moves were: Make a Layout, Use at least two flowers, and a baby theme.

Hello!!!

Just stopping by to share a layout with ya'll!! I recently finished my cousin's baby album and have started on my other cousin's baby album!! It is so much to work on these baby albums!! For this layout I used a Jana Eubank Sketch!! She is actually a guest designer at the Paper Variety!!

Sick!!! Sick!!SICK!!!!

I have been sick for six weeks straight now!! And frankly I'm really sick of being sick!! First it was a kidney infection, then pneumonia and still an kidney infection,then I thought I got rid of the dang pneumonia....but NOOOOooooo!! Still had it!! Then I started to feel really bad except this time it was all in my head!! Went back to the Doctor and now I have an upper Respiratory infection and Pneumonia. He wanted to put me in the hospital but I refused!! I don't see how you get any sleep in the hospital. With all the nurses talking and coming in all hours of the night!! I know I could get better rest and sleep here. But, shhhhhhh! Don't tell my mother!! She will personally take me to the hospital if she finds out how sick I really am. ;) It's so frustrating being sick for this long!! I have so many things I want to do!! Like, scrapbook, clean, organize things, take the girls to some outings we have had planned for awhile. UGHHHH!! I made myself get up,shower and actually dry and style my hair today. I even went out into the real world to Target!!! But, afterwards I felt like grade A Poo!! I guess I did too much!!! GEEZ!! But, Lucy our Basset Hound loved me for getting out to Target today!! I bought her a brand new water dispensing bowl and place mat for her food bowl and water bowl!! Plus, some bacon and cheese strips treats for her. So, she is pleasantly pleased at the moment. Speaking of Lucy!! She got her yearly shots yesterday morning and when she and the hubbs got home she cuddled up with me in bed. But, I was so tired and out of it that I didn't even notice a 50 pound Basset hound laying across my chest for over two hours!! She is such a baby!! She wanted to be as close as possible to me after her traumatic visit to the vet!! LOL!! Thank god I can't smell right now!! She is a great snuggle bug but boy she can stink it up with her doggy farts!! So, that has been my last few days of woe! lol!! Hopefully, I will be back with some scrapbook projects and some news of good health!!

Days 2, 3 and 4 of Organzing!!

So, I was a few days behind in my "21 days to getting organized challenge" at A bowl full of Lemons!! Day 2 was to clean you desk, well since I personally don't have a desk I decided to clean out the cubbie hole in our hallway!! It's a catch all for the girls junk and towels for some reason!! So, here is my before pic of the cubbie:

How embarrassing is that!! UGH!!! I guess I kept ignoring it when I walked past it everyday!! Can you say denial!! But, after getting over my denial I got it all cleaned out and sprayed it down with wood cleaner!! And Viola!!

Now on to Day 3!!! Clean out that Tupperware Cabinet!! So, I cleaned out my Tupperware and organized it all and then cleaned out the casserole cabinet as well!!

WOW!! This is a black hole for sheets!! After I cleaned all this out I realized that my girls have 18 sheet sets!!! And I have 2!!!!! I think it's time to stop impulse buying cute sheet sets for the girls!!

My New Best Friend!!!

I finally used my Neti-Pot yesterday and now I'm addicted!! Seriously, I don't think I have ever been able to really breathe this well!! LOVE IT!!!! Just had to share it with you!!

Day 1: Completed!!!

So, I took a before pic oh my junk drawer with Natalie's new camera but for some reason her memory card isn't working with my laptop? So, here is my after pic of my Day 1 challenge on the A bowl full of lemons 21 days to getting more Organized!!

I really wish my junk drawer was a pretty new drawer from IKEA!! But, one thing at a time!! We are saving money to get our bathroom completely remodeled. Well, since I got Day 1 done I can't wait to get Day 2 done!!

My attempt to keep true to my resolutions!!

I love New Years Resolutions!! It's a way to wipe the previous year clean and start over!! Well, I am going to start working on my resolutions with this awesome blog called "A bowl full of lemons"!! I'm a few days behind due to illness and stupid falling accidents!! But, you can start anytime you want!! The First day you have to clean out your junk drawer!!! So, I'm off to take a before pic of my junk drawer and get to working on getting it all cleaned and organized!! Wish me luck!! It's a scary place!! EEKK!!! I'll be back with my before and after pics to show my progress!! e

The Desire to Scrap but don't have the energy to!

I so badly want to scrap but I have been sick for over a week and now the whole family is sick!! Then on top of all the coughing,snot and sore throats I fell down the stairs to our laundry room!! Now, my back is all bruised and sore! I also hurt my right wrist trying to break my fall! Ugh!! So, my plans for scrapbooking have been put on the back burner until I feel better. Which I hope is sooner rather than later!! Until then I will be drooling over everybody Else's wonderful layouts!! :)

Happy New Year everyone!! Here are my resolutions for 2011!!

1. Lose weight!!

2. Go to the gym at least two to three times a week

3. To watch my mouth (cussing) It's my dirty little secret!! Shhhhh!! Don't tell anybody!!

4. To make more layouts!!

5. To be more organized!!
